Overview

This article explains how to install the Plesk Customer & Business Manager for Plesk 10. This is equivalent to the Plesk Billing Bundle in previous versions of Plesk.

Requirements

You will need to have Plesk 10.3 installed on your (dv) Dedicated-Virtual Server.

We also recommend running a Micro Update. You can do this by connecting via SSH as root to your (dv) and running the up command. For more information, please see this (mt) Wiki article: (dv) 4.0: Plesk Micro Updates.

Prior to October 5, 2011, (dv) Dedicated-Virtual 4.0 Servers were provisioned with Plesk 10.1.1. For instructions on how to upgrade Plesk, please see: How do I upgrade Plesk to 10.3?

Instructions

  1. If you have not yet set up Plesk, you will need to complete this task prior to continuing. For detailed instructions, please see: Plesk first-time setup.
  2. Log into your server as root or a sudo user via SSH.
  3. Run the following command to use the Plesk autoinstall package:

    /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/autoinstaller --select-release-current --install-component billing

This command will take several minutes to run as it downloads and installs files. When it's done, you should see the following message:

    Patches were installed successfully.
    The packages were installed successfully.

  4. You will now be able to use the Customer & Business Manager. You can access it by going to https://example.com:8443/plesk-billing/admin/, or you can click on any of the business-related links in the left sidebar (these will be new; you may have to refresh the page to see them). See Figure 1:

Figure 1. Click on any tool in the Business sections to warp to the Customer & Business Manager.

  5. You will be prompted to read and accept a license agreement. See Figure 2:

Figure 2. Read and accept the license agreement.

  6. From here, you can either use the setup wizard, or go through your configuration manually. The Plesk documentation explains each feature and provides a setup guide:

Overview

The Plesk Billing Bundle will provide integrated tools within Plesk to bill your own customers. This software is especially useful if you are using your (dv) Dedicated-Virtual Server to resell hosting services. This software can be installed and used at no additional cost and is part of your default Plesk license.

Requirements

This article has the following dependencies

  • If you currently do not have your root user enabled or our Developer Tools installed, please visit the Root Access & Developer Tools section of your AccountCenter. For instructions, please see: How do I enable root access to my (dv)? and Install the Developer Tools.
