Overview

Your message may have had characteristics matching those of a typical spam message. As per our Acceptable Usage Policy, our systems were not able to allow your message to be sent because it was determined to be a possible spamming attempt. Spam is a large problem on the Internet and can lead to servers becoming listed on RBLs. This is especially painful in a shared environment, because it can affect users who did absolutely nothing wrong but are affected due to their email going through a common channel with other users. It is our responsibility as a service provider to take measures in preventing spam from originating on our network.

While it is in everyone's best interest to stop spam, we do not want to inconvenience legitimate users who may have inadvertently triggered our scanners.

In order to properly determine why your email attempt resulted in this error, we need to collect some details regarding your transmission. Please see the procedures outlined below to find out how to get help.

If you are an (mt) customer

You most likely encountered this error inside of your email client application when trying to send your email using your (gs) Grid-Service.

Open a support request from within the (mt) AccountCenter with the subject Outgoing Mail Rejected and include the following details:

  • What are the full contents of the email?
  • How was it composed? (HTML or plain text?)
  • Who were you sending to?
  • Which address were you sending from?
  • When was the date & time you attempted to send this message?

If you are not an (mt) customer

You most likely encountered this error in a bounce-back message for an email you tried to send to a domain that is hosted on the (gs) Grid-Service.

Please contact us directly by email at blocked@mediatemple.net. Include the same details outlined above, as well as the contents of your bounced message with full headers.

NOTE:

Whether you send us the report as a customer or as an outsider, our Abuse team will work with you to determine why your message was rejected and will provide tips on making sure your legitimate messages are delivered successfully.
