Overview

Roundcube is a web-based IMAP email client written in the PHP programming language.

In order for Roundcube to work properly, you may need to create a Trash folder. You may want to create other "special" folders as well, such as Drafts and Sent.

Requirements

Before you start, you'll need the following:

  • The following tutorial is provided as a courtesy to our customers to help you configure Roundcube.
  • Third-party software can not be supported directly by (mt) Media Temple. If you have further questions about Roundcube, please visit http://roundcube.net/support.

Instructions

  1. Log into Roundcube. The easy to remember link is: http://example.com/webmail. Be sure to replace example.com with your domain.
  2. Click on Personal Settings in the top right.
  3. Click on the Folders tab.
  4. Click on Inbox so that it is highlighted in red, see Figure 1:

  5. In the Folder Name box, enter Trash, and click the Create button; repeat for Sent and Drafts.
  6. Click the Subscribe checkbox next to the Spam folder in the folder list.
  7. Click on the Preferences tab.
  8. On the right, in the Special Folders section, select the appropriate folder for each item. Select Spam for Junk.
  9. Click Save at the bottom.

You should now have full functionality in Roundcube.
