Overview

A list of the most frequently asked questions about the (mt) Affiliate Program.

How do I sign up?

Just point your browser to https://affiliate.mediatemple.net and complete the sign up form. Once approved, you will receive an email with your login credentials.

How does the affiliate program differ from the standard referral program that (mt) already has?

Affiliate credits can only be applied for new accounts. This only counts if the customer clicks the link on the affiliate's website and orders a service through the online ordering page. If the customer types in a referral name, the affiliate credit will be void. The referral program rewards the referrer with hosting credits while the affiliate program rewards the referrer with money. You must be an (mt) client to participate in the referral program, while anyone over the age of 18 can be an affiliate of (mt). You can read more about the (mt) Media Temple Customer Referral Program.

How and when will I be paid?

You can choose to be paid by PayPal or check. The comissions are paid at the end of each month.

Can I send people to a specific page on mediatemple.net?

Example: http://mediatemple.net/webhosting/gs/

Yes. You can append the #a_aid= to any (mt) page, just as long as the affiliate tag is inserted.

You would simply use your affiliate link in your email. For example: http://www.mediatemple.net#a_aid=4e3b10. When they click that link, you get credit. The link doesn't have to be attached to a site, but you wouldn't be able to use a DirectURL (example.com) in an email.
