Closing a Service or Account
(mt) Media Temple appreciates the opportunity to be of service to all of its customers. Using the AccountCenter you can request to close a service or account by following the steps below.
- Log into the AccountCenter and click directly on the 'Billing' tab or use this link to be taken there directly.
- Click on the "Request to Close" button:
- Choose the Service you wish to close. In this example we will be closing the demo.mt-example.com (gs) Grid-Service by clicking the 'Close' button on the right side:
- You will then be presented with a confirmation page with further details. Please read carefully. You will need to select your closing date from the drop-down menu. These dates are based on the billing cycle for your account. Click the 'submit request to close' button in the lower right:
- If your request processed successfully you will see the following page with further details:
Expedited Requests
In the event that you would like to close your service or account sooner than the first option available to you in the AccountCenter please contact our Billing Department, or open a new support request. Please confirm in your request that you are aware that you will lose ALL data associated with any closed service or account. We will not be able to process any expedited request without this acknowledgment. Thank you.

NOTE:
For security purposes an email confirmation will be sent in conjunction with the AccountCenter to ensure that any cancellations are legitimate. Requests to close by telephone, fax or email will not be accepted. Thank you for your understanding.
