(dv) Creating a subdomain in Plesk
Overview
In the Domain Name System (DNS) hierarchy, a subdomain is a domain that is part of a larger domain. For example, sub.example.com, store.example.com, blog.example.com are subdomains of the example.com domain.
How can I add a subdomain?
Instructions
- Log into the Plesk Control Panel for your domain. See Figure 1:

TIP:
If you log into Plesk with the admin user, you will be in the Server Administration Panel by default. To get to the Control Panel, click on Domains, then on the Control Panel link next to your domain.
You can also create a user that will log into the Control Panel by default, which will save you a few clicks on day-to-day webmaster tasks. See Control Panel user.
- From the Home page, click on Websites & Domains. See Figure 2:

Figure 2: Click on the "Websites & Domains" tab. - At the bottom of this page, you will see a list of your domains for this subscription. Click on the Add New Subdomain button, see Figure 3.

- You are now returned to the Websites & Domains page. Your newly added subdomain will be listed underneath the top-level domain. See Figure 5.
