"Disk Quota Exceeded" errors in emails
Overview
This error occurs when you have a disk quota for an account exceeded, or one of your email users no longer has enough space for the message being sent to them.
Symptoms
- You can no longer receive emails.
- Emails bounce with a Disk Quota Exceeded error.
- Webmail stops working.
- Cannot upload using FTP, et cetra.
Instructions
Email quotas are defined by the Service Plan for your subscription. For more information on subscriptions, please see:

Log into your Plesk Server Administration Panel, see Figure 1.

- From the Resources tab, scroll down to Mailbox size.
- Enter the size and click the OK button.
Check mailbox quota for a specific email user
- Log into Plesk.

Click on Domains:
- Click on the domain in question:
- Click on Mail:
- Select the user you wish to check:
- Click on Mailbox:
- Now you can view the user's quota. Adjust the settings, if necessary.
Check disk space and mailbox limits for a specific domain
- Log into Plesk.
- Click on Domains:
- Click on the domain in question:
- Click on Limits:
- Check Disk space and Set the mailbox quota. Adjust the settings if necessary:
Check the disk quota for your entire service
- Login to Plesk.
- Click on Virtuozzo:
- Click on Resources:
- View your current Disk Usage:
- If you are out of disk space for your entire server you can either remove files or upgrade your service using the AccountCenter.
