The following are the steps needed to Setup a domain name registered by a third-party registrar.

1. Register your domain with your third-party registrar.
   
2. Contact your registrar's support or use your registrar's website to change the name servers to ns1.mediatemple.net and ns2.mediatemple.net. This will direct all DNS queries to your (mt) Media Temple service.  Keep in mind that it may take 12 to 72 hours for propagation to complete.
3. Use either of the following guides to add the domain to your service:

   • (dv) Adding a New Domain to your Server
