How do I remove an email account from my iPhone?

Symptom
You added your email account to your iPhone using the Auto-Config Mail Tool and cannot delete the account from your iPhone. As in Figure 1, the usual red "Delete Account" button is missing.

Cause
This is a known issue with the auto configuration tool.
Solution
Here's how to delete the email account from your iPhone.
- Navigate to Settings on your iPhone.
- Tap General.

Scroll down and tap Profile, see Figure 2.

Tap the Remove button to remove your email account, see Figure 3.
