When a domain is added within Plesk and your AccountCenter a mail service is automatically created.  At that point any messages sent between (mt) Media Temple hosted services will attempt to deliver locally if a mail service is active for the receiving domain. If the domain is not actually using the (mt) Media Temple mail service this can cause delivery errors. For that reason we have given our customers the ability to disable mail at the domain level as shown below:

How to Enable/Disable Mail on the (dv) Dedicated-Virtual:

1. Login to Plesk.
2. Click on Domains:
   
   
   
3. Click on the domain for which you wish to enable/disable mail:
   
   
   
4. Under Services click on Mail:
   
   
   
5. Please do the following to enable or disable mail:
   
   • If you wish to enable mail click on Switch ON. Choose this option if the MX record for your domain is pointed to your (dv) Dedicated-Virtual Server:
     
     
   • if you wish to disable mail click on Switch OFF. Choose this option if the MX record for your domain is pointed to another server other then your (dv) Dedicated-Virtual Server.
