Overview

Plesk allows IP addresses to be either shared or exclusive. This determines whether more than one of your Plesk subscriptions can use the same IP address or not. It does NOT determine the number of domains on the IP, or whether it can have an SSL Certificate.

Instructions

  1. Log into the Plesk Control Panel.

  2. Click on the Server tab.

  3. Under the Tools & Resources section, click on IP Addresses.

  4. Click on the IP Address to switch between Shared and Dedicated.

This IP is Shared. Click to switch to dedicated.
This IP is Shared. Click to switch to dedicated.

This IP is dedicated. Click to switch to shared.
This IP is dedicated. Click to switch to shared.

  5. Select Shared or Dedicated, then click the OK button.

Your IP address will now be set to either shared or exclusive, depending on what you have selected.
